The Indian Head Gold Quarter Eagle Coin is one of the United States most historical pieces of currency. It was first produced by the US Mint in 1908 and enjoyed circulation until 1929. Since its discontinuation, it has become one of the rarest and most sought after coins among both collectors and investors.

Each one of these Indian Gold Quarter Eagle coins has a gold content of .12094 troy ounces and has been certified with an MS62 (Mint State 62) grade by the NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) or the PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service). Coins that have been graded MS62 possess a worn but acceptable condition with several hairline and contact marks scuffing its original luster. To prevent any further deterioration, each coin has been individually sealed in their NGC or PCGS certified slab.

The images depicted on this coin harken back to America’s earlier years. The front of the coin bears the portrait of a Native American wearing his traditional warrior headdress. He is encircled with a series of thirteen stars with the date printed beneath him and the word “Liberty” hovering above him. The reverse side features our national bird, standing in profile atop a bundle of arrows laced with an olive branch. Perhaps, even more impressive than the images themselves is the fact that they are recessed in design. Unlike most coins which have a raised design, this one has the details carved into the coin itself. Much of the popularity surrounding this coin is because it is the only remaining piece of US currency to have a recessed design.

We take great pride in offering such a valuable and historically significant piece. However, as with all rare merchandise, we encourage customers to make their purchases while supplies are still available. To ensure the security of your order, we provide free insurance on all packages.
