This 1923 Peace Dollar is one of only 129 graded by the PCGS at MS67, with only 14 coins earning a higher grade. Today, this 1923 Peace Silver Dollar in MS67 condition is available.

Peace Dollars were introduced in December 1921, replacing the Morgan Dollar and remaining in production at the US Mint through 1935. While the Peace Dollar was struck in 10 different years, this production was not consecutive. The coins were struck annually from 1921 to 1928, and then two final issues were released in 1934 and 1935.
This 1923 Peace Silver Dollar is in Mint State 67 condition. The typical MS67 coin has original mint luster with three or four minuscule contact marks, with one or two of those marks in the primary focal areas, and no hairlines are visible on the coin without the aid of magnification. This specific 1923 Peace Dollar showcases a strong strike with frost-white or metallic sheen on the surface areas.
On the obverse of the 1923 Peace Dollar is a portrait of Lady Liberty. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, this unique bust of Liberty depicts her face in left-profile relief with long, free-flowing hair and a towering crown of light on her head.
The reverse of 1923 Peace Silver Dollars features a depiction of the American bald eagle at rest. De Francisci’s design shows the bald eagle perched on a rock ledge, clutching an olive branch in its talons. The eagle has its wings at its sides as it gazes off toward the horizon, where sun rays begin to emerge.
