4 x 2002 proof gold double Sovereigns, issued to celebrate the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Each coin features the image of an athlete celebrating and waving a banner above their head.
The coins were produced by the Royal Mint, minted in 22-carat purity, they contain 14.63 grams of fine gold each.
Each coin features a flag of one of the Home Nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The obverse shows the 4th portrait of Elizabeth II, as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.
