The 2007 Proof quarter ounce American gold Eagle. Proof coins are struck twice to ensure greater detail on the coin.
The obverse design features Augustus Saint-Gaudens‘ image of Liberty, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, with 50 stars around the edge to represent each State. The reverse design of the American Gold Eagle is by sculptor Miley Busiek, and features a male Eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest.
The US government guarantee the stated amount of actual gold weight in troy ounces. By law, the gold must be sourced from American mines.
