The original Gothic Crown portrait of Queen Victoria was designed by Royal Mint Chief Engraver William Wyon in 1846 (the coin itself was issued the following year in honor of Victoria’s 10th anniversary as Queen). Wyon also enlisted the help of Scottish artist William Dyce for the reverse imagery, which featured an incredible neo-Gothic quartered arms design. This remastered collection from The East India Company features both designs with a variety of weight options in both gold and silver.
