2023 is a date in the British Gold Britannia Series that won’t soon be forgotten. First and foremost, it marks the first date in the series ever to feature a monarch other than Queen Elizabeth II as the Royal Mint now issues its first King Charles III Britannias. Additionally, this is the first date in the series to feature two monarch designs in production concurrently.
All of these 2023 1/4 oz British Gold Britannia Coins are available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are packaged individually in plastic flips or by multiples of 25 coins in a protective tube.
On the obverse of 2023 British Gold Britannia Coins is the first-ever effigy of King Charles III. The Royal Mint began 2023 production with the Queen’s effigy one final time while Martin Jennings created this left-profile bust of King Charles III for use on British coinage.
The reverse side of 2023 1/4 oz Gold Britannia Coins comes with a depiction of Britannia. This design from 1987 was created by Philip Nathan and has graced all versions of the BU Britannia since the program’s launch in 1987.
