Introduced in 2017, the Niue Czech Lion is a gold and silver bullion coin series offering impressive images of the heraldic Czech Lion each year. The reverse design changes annually, but always features the Czech Lion with the St. Wenceslas Crown on its head as an emblem of historic Czech kingdoms. In heraldry, the Czech Lion typically appears as a rampant lion, standing on its hind legs, with its forelegs raised and claws extended. This posture signifies the lion’s readiness to defend its territory and its people. In this series, a more realistic lion is captured in the Czech Lion imagery and it is always featured with the St. Wenceslas Crown.

All 2024 10 oz Niue Czech Lion Silver Coins are available with individual plastic flips and will arrive in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 10 oz silver coin is one of the largest in the Silver Czech Lion Series, behind only the 1 Kilo coin and ahead of the other three weights offered.

On the obverse of 2024 Niue Czech Lion Silver Coins is the first-ever portrait of His Majesty King Charles III in this series. Designed by Jody Clark, this portrait is a left-profile relief of the new King of England and he is captured without a crown on his head in this effigy.

The reverse side of the 2024 10 oz Czech Lion Silver Coin comes with an image of the Czech Lion. Set in right-profile relief, the mighty lion wears the St. Wenceslas Crown on its head while a portion of a shield with a heraldic eagle on it is featured in the background field.
