Description

2026 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Tube (40 Coins, BU)

The American Gold Eagle stands as the official gold bullion coin of the United States, and the year 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of this long-running series. First introduced in 1986, the Gold Eagle program includes a 1 oz gold coin as well as three fractional-ounce versions. Among these, the 1/4 oz Gold Eagle tends to receive less attention, though it has remained a consistent part of the series since its debut. Right now, 2026 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Tubes are available.

Each 2026 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Tube comes with a total of 40 individual coins. These 2026 1/4 oz Gold Eagles are all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and packaged together in this listing in tubes of 40. This offers a total of 10 Troy oz of actual gold content with your purchase.

The 1/4 oz Gold Eagle, like the 1/2 oz Gold Eagle, hit its mintage high back in 1986 when the series was introduced by the United States Mint. That debut issue surpassed 726,000 coins, but the closest it has come since was in 1999 during the Y2K crisis. That year saw mintage of the 1/4 oz Gold Eagle surpass 564,000 coins.

On the obverse of 2026 American Gold Eagles, the United States Mint continues to use Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ classic design of Lady Liberty. Originally created in 1907, this image presents a front-facing view of Liberty in full length, striding toward the viewer. She holds a torch in her right hand, symbolizing enlightenment, and an olive branch in her left hand, representing peace.

The reverse side of 2026 1/4 oz Gold Eagle Coins features a modern depiction of the American bald eagle. First introduced to the series in 2021, this left-profile portrait of the eagle’s head was designed by Jennie Norris. This design update debuted during the 35th anniversary of the series and continues to appear on the coins today.
