2024 10 oz Proof Jewelled Turtle Gold Coin

The Perth Mint‘s most luxurious annual releases, coins of The Jewelled Series, owe their artistic inspiration to significant animals in mythology and across cultures. Like its stunning predecessors, The Jewelled Turtle is mounted with a three-dimensional 18-carat gold representation of a sea turtle. Its carapace is hand set with 112 exceptionally rare Argyle Pink Diamonds™, while its head and limbs are set with 52 natural white diamonds and two emeralds for eyes. A further five white diamonds are set in a ribbon-shaped line symbolising the sea surface, with an Argyle Pink Diamond™ at the heart of a stylised sun.
Finished in flawless proof quality, the coins reverse features the inscription ‘THE JEWELLED TURTLE 2024’, and a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary, and representations of corals and dory fish.

Sea turtles are remarkable creatures that have navigated the world’s oceans for millennia. Covering enormous distances to reach their feeding sites, they return home to pristine coastal locations in order to lay eggs near their own birth site. Integral to the traditional culture of many coastal communities, these ancient mariners are celebrated and revered worldwide.
H.M. King Charles III effigy
The obverse portrays the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, as well as the coin’s weight and monetary denomination.
Luxury display case
The coin is presented in a luxury display case featuring double-doors embellished with pink gold motifs and two additional Argyle Pink Diamonds™, one on each side. Inside, the illuminated coin continuously rotates through 360 degrees with captivating style. Accompanied by an individually numbered 18-carat rose gold plaque, corresponding to each coin’s numbered certificate of authenticity, just eight of these stunning objets d’art will be released.
