Designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this visual shows Liberty in front-facing relief with a torch held aloft in her right hand and an olive branch in her left as she walks away from the U.S. Capitol Building.
The reverse side of 2023 1/2 oz Proof Gold Eagle Coins comes with an image of the American bald eagle. The eagle’s head is shown here in left-profile relief with incredible levels of detail present in the design of the eagle.
