This 2024 Proof gold Sovereign 3-coin set features a Sovereign, Half Sovereign and a Quarter Sovereign.
These 2024 proof Sovereign coins have been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity.
This year features the classic Sovereign design of St. George slaying the dragon by Benedetto Pistrucci and it is the first time this design has been paired with the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings on a proof Sovereign. The set comes presented in a beautiful Royal Mint box and contains a certificate of authenticity. Limited to 650 sets.
