Each 2025 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coin comes sealed in a commemorative Blue Eagle Card. These coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and arrive with the aforementioned card that features the silhouette of an American bald eagle on the back side of the card. The front of the card features the history behind the selection of the bald eagle as America’s national emblem.

American Gold Eagles Coins feature 22-karat gold content. The US Mint uses a distinct metallic alloy not commonly found in other 22-karat gold coins. While many mints use 22-karat gold that consists of a combination of 91.67% gold and 8.33% copper, the US Mint includes silver in its alloy. As such, American Gold Eagles boast 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver.

The obverse of the 2025 American Gold Eagle features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ historic image of Lady Liberty. Designed in 1907 for the $20 Double Eagle, this image depicts Liberty’s full-length figure in front-facing relief as she strides toward the viewer with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The field includes sun rays on the horizon, the U.S. Capitol Building at her feet, and a ring of stars around the field.

On the reverse of 2025 1 oz Gold Eagle Coins, you will find the modern interpretation of the American bald eagle. Designed in 2020 by Jennie Norris, this beautiful image of a bald eagle’s head in left-profile relief debuted in mid-2021 as part of the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Series.
