Description

2026 1 oz British Gold Tudor Beasts Queen’s Lion Tube (10 Coins, BU)

The Tudor Beasts Series, introduced by The Royal Mint in 2022, serves as the continuation of the Queen’s Beasts Series. With ten designs planned in total, the series takes inspiration from the heraldic statues that adorn the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court. These heraldic creatures represent the Tudor monarchs’ use of symbolism, particularly by King Henry VIII, to assert the legitimacy of their reign after the Wars of the Roses. Now, 2026 1 oz British Gold Tudor Beasts Queen’s Lion Tubes are available online.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins arrive in a protective acrylic tube!
  • Comes with a total of 10 coins per tube!
  • 8th BU release in the Tudor Beasts Series!
  • Contains 1 troy oz of .9999 pure gold per coin in BU condition (10 troy oz total).
  • Issued a face value of 100 Pound sterling (GBP) by Britain.
  • The obverse features a bust of King Charles III.
  • On the reverse is the Queen’s Lion with the badge of Jane Seymour.

The obverse of the 2026 1 oz Gold Tudor Beasts Queen’s Lion Coins features a portrait of King Charles III. Martin Jennings created this first official effigy in late 2022, portraying the king in left-profile relief and notably without a crown.

The reverse of the 2026 British Gold Tudor Beasts Queen’s Lion Coins centers on the Queen’s Lion associated with Jane Seymour. Henry VIII used this crowned lion as a heraldic emblem to strengthen Jane Seymour’s status upon becoming queen consort, and the lion is depicted holding her badge.

Jane Seymour’s brief marriage to Henry VIII produced the most significant long-term impact of any of his unions: the birth of Edward VI, Henry’s only legitimate male heir who would rule England from 1547 to 1553. Her death shortly after childbirth elevated her to a unique status among Henry’s wives, as she was the only one to receive a queen’s funeral and the honor of having Henry buried alongside her at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor.

These 2026 1 oz British Gold Tudor Beasts Queen’s Lion Tubes are available with a total of 10 coins inside. This listing only offers a bulk purchase option, with each tube containing coins in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and a total of 10 troy ounces of 24-karat gold.
