The Royal Mint launched The Tudor Beasts Series in 2022 as the successor to the Queen’s Beasts Series. This ongoing collection includes ten total designs inspired by the heraldic statues positioned on the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court. Each featured beast draws on the Tudor tradition of using symbolic imagery, with King Henry VIII in particular adopting these emblems to affirm the dynasty’s legitimacy following the Wars of the Roses.
