These new 50g gold Britannia bars use an updated version of Jody Clark‘s modern interpretation of Lady Britannia, with three additional security features to allow for easy visual verification of the bar’s authenticity.
– Micro-text found around the edge of Britannia’s shield which reads ‘DECUS ET TUTAMEN’ (an ornament and a safeguard).
– The background surface of the bar is textured to produce a wave-effect when moving the bar.
– A latent image in the top left of the bar will change between a trident and a padlock when viewed at different angles.
