This beautifully-presented 2006 Britannia Proof Gold Quarter Ounce set is boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
It features 5 x 1/4oz Gold Britannias – all dated 2006 – with the designs from the 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009 (confusingly for a set minted in 2006!).
Only 250 sets were issued and because the coins all are dated 2006 – this is a truly scarce set that cannot be created by breaking up other Britannia sets from those years.
The face value £25 coin contains one quarter ounce (7.776g) of fine gold. The coin is all heavier than this weight however, as it contains 22-carat (91.67%) gold. The non-gold content in this coin is Silver. This set is presented in a case with certificate.
